Enrichment & Social Action
- Have you taken part in clubs and activities outside of school hours?
- Do you want to carry on when you are at college?
- Fancy trying something new for fun?
At Yeovil College, we encourage students to take part in a wide range of enrichment activities, such as sport, societies, volunteering and fundraising.
Taking part in enrichment activities alongside your course is fun, helps you make life-long friends and improves your confidence, health and well-being.
You will also develop a whole range of personal skills, such as team working, organisation and leadership, which are attractive to both future employers and universities. Your enrichment experience will make you stand out from the crowd when you apply for work or Higher Education.
Social Action
We have a huge focus on social action, which is about people coming together to help solve problems and get involved with issues that are important to their communities. This will typically include opportunities around volunteering, fundraising and community projects. Social action can make a real difference to well-being and can strengthen and support economic growth.
DofE is a life-changing experience. A fun time with friends. An opportunity to discover new interests and talents. A tool to develop essential skills for life and work. A recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers.
We run the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels.
