Class of 2020/2021
Yeovil College University Centre congratulates all students who are graduating in December 2021. The ceremony will take place on Thursday 9th December at Westlands Entertainment Centre.
This will be a chance to reflect on your achievements and finally come together and celebrate with family, lecturers and dignitaries.
This will be a special day as two Graduating classes will celebrate together, due to postponing the 2020 ceremony last year.
We can’t wait to celebrate this day with you, as for some it has been a long time to wait.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please get into contact with us on email@example.com
The Graduation Ceremony
Your graduation ceremony will begin at 14:30 in the ballroom. You should report to the reception desk at the venue at least an hour before the start of your ceremony to register your attendance, and you will be allocated your seat.
Your seat will not be with your guests; it is important that you sit in your allocated seat during the ceremony.
The ceremony will comprise of speeches, congratulatory video message and the formal conferment of your achievements. This will be followed by a celebratory coffee and cake gathering, where you can catch up and reflect on your achievement and get any last minute photographs.
Graduating students are expected to wear academic gowns for the ceremony. They can be ordered via Ede and Ravenscroft at least 2 weeks before the ceremony. (insert web address)
On the day of the ceremony you will need your Ede and Ravenscroft booking number to collect your gown, hood and cap. If you have long hair or intend to wear a delicate top, it is worth bringing hairgrips and safety pins to help fasten your cap and gown.
You will be able to collect your gown and hood from the Wheeldon Suite at the venue from 12:30 onwards. You are advised to collect your gown in good time to avoid congestion at the collection point immediately prior to the ceremony.
This is a prestigious occasion for all students, therefore it is mandatory that all graduands wear full academic dress (gown, hood and cap) and smart clothes to the ceremony. We kindly request that you do not wear jeans or trainers, but appropriate footwear for walking up and down stage steps!
Academic dress that is hired must be returned to Ede and Ravenscroft on the day of ceremony.
Photography is available for all Graduates attending the ceremony. The photographers can take professional portraits of you as an individual, with your family or friends and as you are presented “On the stage”. This activity will be available before and after the ceremony in The Wheeldon Suite at Westlands Yeovil.
