Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a life-changing experience. A fun time with friends. An opportunity to discover new interests and talents. A tool to develop essential skills for life and work. A recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers.
We offer The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and it is open to all students who want to take part. You can complete the Awards up until your 25th birthday.
The DofE Award is a prestigious and highly regarded programme that offers young people the opportunity to develop essential life skills, build resilience, and make a positive impact within their own communities. Whether you are just starting your DofE journey or are already working towards your next level, the benefits of participating in this programme are immense.
The award is broken down into sections where you can take up new interests and learn new skills. The sections are:
- Voluntary work
- Physical skill
- Non-physical skill
- An expedition, normally involving camping and walking.
Each section is designed to challenge and inspire students, helping them to grow in confidence, capability and gain friendships. Completing the DofE Award is not only a personal achievement but also a valuable addition to any CV or university application, and in all cases, DofE is nationally regarded.
