University Centre Study Area 

There is a dedicated social space for our University Centre students to work, study, eat lunch and relax in. The area features a computer corner at one end and the opposite end is a social space solely for the use of University Centre students. Our dedicated Higher Education Librarian is located in this area, and so is available to answer any questions you might have surrounding researching, referencing and/or academic writing.

 

Learning Resource Centre

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is equipped with a comprehensive selection of up-to-date resources including books, ebooks, journals, online subscriptions, WiFi, PCs and laptops available to borrow. Students are supported by knowledgeable Learning Centre staff who can help in finding resources and accessing the computers.

 

Nexus Beauty Salon

If you fancy a pamper session, then our Nexus Beauty Salon is the place to be. We offer an extensive range of professional treatments including facials, head and body massage, waxing, manicures, pedicures, eye treatments and spray tanning all at hugely competitive prices. We only work with top professional products, which means luxury is guaranteed.

 

Nexus Hair Salon

Our Nexus Hair Salon is bang on trend, delivering cutting-edge hair styles and edgy colour options: why look further afield for your next trip to the hair salon? Whether you’re looking for a blow dry, hair extensions or a restyle, our salon will make you feel relaxed, pampered and cared for.

 

Da Vinci Restaurant

Our award-winning, student-led commercial restaurant, Da Vinci offers a comfortable and relaxed space, as well as a more formal dining area. Da Vinci promises to deliver the best in formal and casual dining in Yeovil.

Prices are extremely competitive, and with the addition of our takeaway service, there is something to suit everyone’s palette and budget.

 

The Food Court

Our student café, The Food Court, has a huge selection of hot and cold food including mouth-watering lunch choices and healthy snack options alongside favourites such as cakes and sandwiches.

 

Accommodation

Please be aware that Yeovil College University Centre do not offer student accommodation ourselves. Most of our students live within a commutable distance to us and own their home, continue to live with parents or move into privately rented accommodation within the local area.

• 24-7 access to College IT facilities through a Remote Desktop (including access to Microsoft programmes);
• Computer hardware lab, including 3D printing and robotics;
• Leonardo Creative Building – including dedicated state of the art Mac Suites for Graphic Design, Fine Art, Photography and Media Studios;
• Advanced Engineering Centre – complete with specialist testing and production equipment which reflects industry standards and new innovations.
• Brand new Health Education and Science Centre with immersive working environments including a hospital ward, primary school classroom and nursery.
