Prospectus and Marketing Collateral
Yeovil College has made every effort to ensure that the details in our prospectus are correct at time of going to print. We may introduce new courses during the year; please check our offer page www.yeovil.ac.uk/our-courses/ for the most up-to-date information. We reserve the right to cancel any courses where, in our view, there is insufficient demand, or where unforeseen circumstances make it impossible to run. Information may be changed after publication as a result of changes made by awarding bodies or changes to government funding rules/eligibility. EXPLANATION
This accessibility statement has been prepared on behalf of Yeovil College and applies to www.yeovil.ac.uk. This website is controlled by Yeovil College and hosted on an external server. At Yeovil College, we want to make sure everyone, regardless of age, ability or technology, can use our website; this is our overarching aim.
Under the accessibility statement, this means that means you should be able to:
- Zoom in up to 300%
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader.
The content and text which has been included within this website has been written with our customers in mind. We have deliberately delivered a simple structure, using clear and easy to understand language. We have deliberately reduced the length of information contained within the site and information has been carefully and appropriately batched together and displayed in a logical order.
How far does Yeovil College match the accessibility standards?
There are some accessibility issues within this website and we are working hard to rectify them, where appropriate and subject to best practice guidelines:
- There are a few contrast issues within the website
- Some content cannot be accessed using a keyboard
- Some users may have issues with navigation menus (keyboard users)
- Some parts of the website do not have focus indication
- Most older PDF documents (found mostly within our Policy section and documents) are not fully accessible to screen reader software
- You cannot modify the line height or spacing of text.
We are currently seeking a web partner to support us in ensuring that our website not only meets but exceeds AA standards. This is in development, and subject to the financial burden, will be implemented by the end of the year.
