ADVANCED LEARNER LOANS BURSARY FUND
The Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund supports students who have an approved Advanced Learner Loan in place to cover the fees for their course and have a household income of £30,000 – £36,000.** It can be used for childcare, travelling costs and equipment.

Advanced Learner loan
A Government loan scheme is available for learners aged 19 or over and studying Level 3 – 6 qualifications.
It’s easy to apply for and it does not take your household income into account, nor does it involve a credit check. Once you have been offered a place on a course, we will send you a learning and funding information letter. Repayment of the loan only starts when you are earning £25,725 a year/per annum or more.
The following people are eligible:
- Aged 19+ at the start of their course;
- Have been a resident in the UK for three years prior to the start of their course;
- Are studying with an Education and Skills Funding Agency provider, such as Yeovil College;
- Undertaking an eligible Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 further education course.
How much can I borrow?
That all depends on the type of course and its associated fees. The minimum amount is £300.
