Industry placements and work experience is a fundamental part of a learner’s study programme at Yeovil College. We work on live briefs, real-time projects, and engage with local employers who work with us to support the design of our curriculum as well as delivering master classes.

We were awarded £2.4 million to deliver a digitally enabled campus which involves massive investment in our IT infrastructure – this is a game changer for us, setting us apart from other colleges. On top of this we have an ambitious campus development agenda, reshaping and redesigning our full campus to create a hub of technological innovation (around £50m+ in total).

Yeovil Edge is bespoke to Yeovil College and it has been designed to enable students to get ahead and differentiate themselves within a crowded market-place. YC Edge encompasses enrichment activities that develop high aspirations, confidence, resilience and encouraging a healthy lifestyle and supports students to become well-rounded members of society, confident to progress into their intended career or university destination. Through Edge we support our students to develop the underpinning knowledge and self-worth needed to be successful in work and life, whilst developing the mind-set of to expect more, is to achieve more.
