Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.

They are being developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs, in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities, to help people develop the skills that are in demand in their local area and get a better job. At Yeovil College we are delivering three different bootcamps within Digital Marketing, Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Repair, and Lean Manufacturing. If you are interested in any of these courses, make an enquiry using the form at the bottom of the page.

Click here to learn about the bootcamps we offer, and answer some frequently asked questions, including eligibility criteria.

Please note, you can only take part in one bootcamp within a 12-month period.

I am an employer and would like to send my employees on the course.

If you are an employer and would like to send one or more of your staff on the Bootcamp to upskill for a new role or opportunity within their existing role, you can receive a discount from 70 – 90% on the course fee depending on the size of your organisation and that your employee(s) meet the eligibility criteria.

I would like to get involved with the delivery of case studies and keynote lectures.

It is paramount that our course prepares the learners for employment and/or upskilling in their existing job so we would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved in the delivery of this course. Please e-mail with your expression of interest to serena.foreman@yeovil.ac.uk.
