This qualification includes the units to prepare you to work effectively as a junior unisex hairdresser, including 4 main units such as: client consultation for hair services, cutting men's hair, cutting facial hair and following health and safety in the salon. The level 5 diploma will enable learners to take their management and leadership skills to a higher level. The diploma is ideal for the development of Operational Managers, Divisional Managers, Departmental Managers, Regional Managers and Specialist Managers. The qualification is aimed at benefitting practising managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. The diploma gives you a fully comprehensive bank of the skills and knowledge required to be a manager as part of an organisation, as well as the ability to apply your learning in the context of another organisation or industry sector. The full Diploma course is made up of 8 units and takes approximately 12 months to complete, if you are able to study approximately 10 hours a week.
