After The Course
After completing this Level 2 course, you could choose to progress onto the Level 3 Women's Hairdressing NVQ.
This qualification could be your route into the hair industry as a junior hair stylist, and you could decide to take additional courses in this sector to enhance your career.

What Will I Learn
You will learn how a variety of hairdressing skills relating to hairdressing services. Units include; providing a client consultation, follow health and safety in a salon, working in the hairdressing sector, promoting products and services to clients, basic hair cutting, shampoo and condition the hair, style and dress hair, basic hair colouring and styling.
Please note that specific modules may vary over time in line with student feedback, employer input, awarding body changes, sector requirements, and lecturer expertise.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Teaching and learning is designed to support all students to achieve. There are a mixture of practical and theory-based sessions, with your practical learning taking place in our well-equipped professional salon.
As an adult learner at Yeovil College you will be able to access a range of support and services, including our dedicated Learning Resource Centre, a wealth of resources from our team of expert careers advisors, and a range of wellbeing support.
Course Expenses
The cost of the course is from £1,286.50. You will also need to purchase additional kit and uniform from £350 and have the opportunity to attend educational visits and training for additional costs.

Additional costs may be covered by our financial assistance bursary which you can apply for once you have had your place confirmed and at that point, you will be provided with the bursary application form.
