Advanced Beauty Therapy - Level 3 (Part Time)

Advanced Beauty Therapy is designed to support therapists who wish to progress into more bespoke and advanced treatments within the beauty sector. You will develop skills to an advanced level and also develop new skills in units such as Indian head massage. The programme mirrors the highest possible standards in the industry and will give you opportunity to add additional training to your CV. You will work as a therapist in the Nexus beauty salon using the very best spa products.

Completion of the study programme will provide opportunities for therapists wishing to work in high quality salons and spas or as a self employed therapists.
After finishing this course, you could decide to take additional courses in this sector, including progression onto our level 4 qualification, and you would be welcome to discuss your options with your tutor. You will develop a sound knowledge of Health and Safety, client care and communication, in addition to the advanced modules in a variety of beauty therapy treatments including; Facial electrotherapy treatments, body electrotherapy treatments, body massage, micro dermabrasion and Indian head massage.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills as a beauty therapist and to enable you to provide a range of specialist beauty therapy treatments for your clients.

You will be taught in a realistic salon environment and be assessed on all skills you develop through observation, on line exams and assignments.

As an adult learner at Yeovil College you will be able to access a range of support and services, including our dedicated Learning Resource Centre, a wealth of resources from our team of expert careers advisors, and a range of wellbeing support.

Our course fee is £3,345. You will also be required to purchase your kit and uniform and have the opportunity to attend educational visits for an additional cost.

Additional costs may be covered by our financial assistance bursary which you can apply for once you have had your place confirmed and at that point, you will be provided with the bursary application form.

Applicants are required to hold an Intermediate Beauty Therapy qualification.

In addition, the course requires a good level of written English, so we ask for applicants to hold either a GCSE in English at grade C / 4, or an equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2).
