YEOVIL COLLEGE LAUNCHES LEVEL 2 OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAMME

This Level 2 programme is designed to provide students with a unique educational experience that combines academic learning with practical outdoor activities. Whether you’re interested in adventure sports, outdoor pursuits, or simply want to enhance your teamwork and leadership skills, our Outdoor Education programme has something for everyone. 

 

Highlights 

The Level 2 Certificate in Sport (Outdoor) qualification consists of four units to be studied throughout the year: 

  • Outdoor and Adventurous Activities 
  • Leading an Outdoor Activity Session 
  • Expedition Experience 
  • Participating in Sport. 

Adventure Sports: Participate in activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking to build physical fitness and resilience. 

Teamwork and Leadership: Develop essential skills through group challenges and collaborative projects. 

Personal Growth: Gain confidence and self-awareness by stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing new experiences. 

Learners also have the opportunity to complete a range of additional qualifications, including but not limited to: 

  • Sport Leadership Foundation Expedition Leaders Assistant Level 2 
  • Kayaking One Star qualification 
  • NICAS Climbing Award Level 1 
  • First Aid.

Progression 

This course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required for learners to progress to study at Level 3 in Sport or Uniformed Public Services. Whether you are interested in progressing to study Outdoor Education, either as a full-time programme or an apprenticeship, this qualification offers the required level of study to advance your career aspirations within the sport and public services industry.
