Yeovil College Retains Top CIMSPA Recognition as Institute of Sport and YTFC Partnership Strengthen Elite Offer
Yeovil College’s Institute of Sport is proud to announce that its Level 3 Sport Coaching and Development programme has retained its prestigious 3* Enhancing Education Partner status from the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
Having originally achieved this recognition as an Enhancing Education Partner, the College continues to uphold the highest standard awarded by CIMSPA, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of sport education. This 3* status confirms Yeovil College’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-aligned programmes that prepare students for successful careers within the sport and physical activity sector.
This achievement comes at a transformative time for the College, following the opening of its state-of-the-art Institute of Sport- a multi-million-pound facility designed to enhance performance, training, and the overall student experience.
Alongside these new facilities, the College’s official partnership with Yeovil Town FC further strengthens its elite sporting offer, providing students with a clear pathway that combines high-performance training, competitive football, and real-world progression within the National League structure.
As an official Further Education Partner with CIMSPA, Yeovil College continues to lead the way in sport education across the region and beyond.
Mark Bolton, Principal and CEO of Yeovil College, said:
“This continued recognition from CIMSPA is a powerful endorsement of the quality and ambition of our sport provision. Retaining 3* status reflects the dedication of our staff and students, as well as our commitment to delivering industry-leading education.
“With our new Institute of Sport now open and our strengthened partnership with Yeovil Town FC, we are proud to offer students an exceptional environment and a clear, high-performance pathway into careers in sport.”
