Course Overview
The programme is for those wishing to further develop their hairdressing
skills to an advanced level. The course consists of a range of units relevant to
the modern Hairdresser. You will develop your skills in creative cutting,
hair styling, advanced colouring, colour correction, promotion of products and
services as well as additional training in business start up, employability, and supervisory
roles.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
Industry Placement is part of the course and provides valuable experience in a real working environment. You are required to source a salon work placement.
Qualification Gained
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Hairdressing.
After The Course
You will have the opportunity and skills to be able to work in the hair industry as a Professional Junior Hair Stylist
What Will I Learn
You will advance your skills in Advanced Hair Cutting, Creative Hair Colouring, Styling and Dressing Hair as well as learning additional skills such as Colour Correction.
English And Maths
You may be required to attend English and maths classes as part of your study programme.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught in a realistic salon environment and be assessed on all of the Professional skills you develop with observations, on-line examinations and assignments.
Tutorials
You will have regular group and one to one tutorials with your tutor to support you throughout your programme.
Course Expenses
You will be required to purchase kit and uniform and have the opportunity to pay for additional specialist training days and educational visits such as Salon International in October.
How Will I Be Assessed
You are assessed in the Practical salon environment and will complete online theory exams.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of an Intermediate hairdressing qualification level 2, and equivalent industry experience is desirable. In addition to this you will need good customer service skills and the highest levels of personal presentation.
Required Experience
Previous experience and a qualification in Level 2 hairdressing is required.
