Course Overview
The Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills by covering the following mandatory units; facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure, pedicure, client care and health and safety.
You will also develop knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
You will be required to complete 60 Hours Work Experience in a salon or spa.
Qualification Gained
Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies.
After The Course
Progression onto Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments or Level 3 Advanced Beauty Professional Apprenticeship.

You will be taught by one of our highly trained industry professionals.
Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught in a realistic salon environment and be assessed on all skills you develop through observation,on line exams and assignments.
Course Expenses
You will be required to purchase Kit and uniform and have the opportunity to pay for educational visits.
How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed in the practical environment and will also be required to complete assignments and Exams. When you are practically assessed you will be required to source your own fee paying clients that will need to attend college during the day.
Entry Requirements
Maths and English Grades 4 and above are required for this qualification. A Grade 3 in either English OR Maths will be considered.
You will be required to take part in a practical skills scan that will help us determine your starting point. This may alter the Level we place you on.
Required Experience
60 Hours Work Experience is required during your qualification. Salon placements need to be sourced prior to October half term.
