Yeovil College Announces New Higher‑Education Course Launching September 2026
This new programme marks an important step forward in strengthening the College’s university‑level curriculum, providing students with a high‑quality local route into higher education. Delivered at Yeovil College University Centre, the course will give learners the opportunity to study sport, exercise and coaching at an advanced level, supported by experienced lecturers and access to industry‑relevant facilities.
The HNC will cover key areas including nutrition, psychology, anatomy, biomechanics and coaching practice, alongside opportunities for work experience to help students develop practical skills and confidence.
As part of Yeovil College’s commitment to creating strong progression pathways, students who successfully complete the full HNC will be offered conditional direct entry into Year 2 at Cardiff Metropolitan University on selected degree programmes. This partnership provides a clear and cost‑effective route for learners aiming to achieve a full Bachelor’s degree in the sport and exercise field.
The introduction of this new course reflects Yeovil College’s ongoing investment in expanding its higher‑education provision and supporting local learners to progress into university‑level study and professional careers.
