Yeovil College Invites Local Year 10s & Year 8 Students to Explore Their Futures with Career Taster Sessions

Yeovil College is delighted to announce the return of its highly anticipated Year 10 Experience Days and Year 8 My Futures, taking place from 1st to 3rd July 2025. This immersive three-day event is designed for Year 10 and Year 8 students from local schools, offering them a unique opportunity to explore future career paths and experience College life first-hand.

Throughout the event, students will participate in interactive and engaging taster sessions across a wide range of subjects. These sessions are carefully crafted to spark curiosity, build confidence and provide a glimpse into the exciting educational opportunities available at Yeovil College.

To ensure a focused and welcoming environment, the College will be exclusively open to visiting students and their school staff during the event. This allows for a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where students can explore the campus, ask questions, and begin to imagine their future pathways.

Adding to the experience, Yeovil College has planned fun lunchtime activities inspired by the 2025 theme of Carnival, encouraging students to connect with peers, enjoy the campus environment, and build new friendships.

“We are proud to welcome Year 10 and Year 8 students to Yeovil College for a few days of discovery, inspiration, and fun,” said Mark Bolton, Principal & CEO of Yeovil College. “These taster sessions are a fantastic way for young people to explore their interests and begin shaping their future. We’re here to support them every step of the way.”

Participating schools include: Beaminster School, Sir John Colfox Academy, Gryphon School, Westfield Academy, Thomas Hardye School, Preston School, Holyrood Academy, Ansford Academy, King Arthurs School, Bucklers Mead Academy, Wadham School and Stanchester Academy.

Yeovil College remains committed to providing an inclusive, inspiring, and student-focused environment where every learner can thrive. The College looks forward to welcoming the next generation of students to this exciting and enriching event.
