Yeovil College Celebrates Outstanding A Level Results with Record Numbers and Exceptional Achievement

With the number of entries significantly increased from 2025, the College has not only seen more students choosing A Levels but has also delivered impressive improvements across almost every key performance measure. 

Students achieved remarkable success at the highest grades, with A* grades increasing by three percentage points and A grades rising by nine percentage points compared to last year. Most notably, the proportion of grades awarded at A* and A has increased from 12% to 18%, representing a 50% rise and placing Yeovil College approximately five percentage points above the national Further Education average, based on the latest available national data. 

Performance across the wider grade profile was equally impressive. The proportion of grades awarded at A* to B soared from 36% to 43%, demonstrating significant growth in high achievement, whilst 71% of grades were awarded at A* to C, maintaining performance that continues to exceed national benchmarks. 

The College also achieved an outstanding 97% overall pass rate, reflecting the hard work, determination and ambition of students, alongside the expertise and dedication of staff. 

One of the most significant achievements was the increase in subjects securing a 100% pass rate, rising from 11 subjects in 2025 to 14 subjects in 2026. 

Standout performances included Business, English Literature, and English Language, which have now achieved a 100% pass rate for three consecutive years, alongside outstanding results in Physics, Art & Design, Economics, and History.
