Students Making a Difference Through Scouting

Yeovil College is celebrating the achievements of three dedicated students who are making a significant impact both on campus and within the wider community. Will Sullivan, James Hodge and John Butcher are long‑standing members of the Scouts and passionate advocates for volunteering, leadership and social action. 

Their commitment reflects the College’s wider ethos of encouraging students to grow not only academically, but as active, community‑minded citizens. 

In 2026, the students will embark on an extraordinary challenge: the Explorer Belt, a demanding expedition that will see them travel across Europe. The experience is designed to build independence, cultural awareness and global perspective, and is widely regarded as one of Scouting’s most prestigious achievements.
