STRONG PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS RELEASED DURING YEOVIL COLLEGE’S RESULTS DAY
Yeovil College celebrated a day of outstanding personal achievements as students received their A Level, T Level and BTEC results. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride as students, staff, friends, and families gathered to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that led to these remarkable accomplishments.
Principal & CEO, Mark Bolton expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements, stating: “Today is a testament to the resilience, determination, and hard work of our students from across A Levels, T Levels and BTEC subjects. Each result reflects not only academic excellence but also personal growth and perseverance.”
Head of the Kingston Sixth Form Centre, Matt Holmes, also shared his sense of pride in his students: “I am incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished this year. Students have again demonstrated sheer determination and dedication, rising to the occasion magnificently. I eagerly look forward to supporting them as they continue to achieve great things!”

Top Performers: Several students achieved top grades across various subjects, with 100% pass rate in 15 subjects.
University Placements: A significant number of students secured their first-choice places at leading universities, particularly those universities based in the wider South West, ensuring that we are retaining top class people within the region.
Vocational Success: Students from vocational courses also shone brightly, with many securing apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, university places and direct employment.
Successful Personal Achievements:
Standout stories of the day from students with very different personal successes, included:
Balqees Adediran, an overseas student who has achieved outstanding results, A* in Chemistry, A in Maths and A in Biology and two offers for university, shared: “The support from my teachers and peers at Yeovil College has been incredible. I have two offers to university.”
Anya Briggs, formerly of Wadham School, achieved an A in Chemistry, A in Criminology and an A in Psychology. Anya is heading off to the University of Southampton in September to study Cardiac Physiology. “I’ve really enjoyed my time at Yeovil College, the teachers have been great and I am so proud of my results as I embark on my next steps. My piece of advice for future A Level learners would be to keep on top of your workload, plan it out and manage it and it will keep you motivated!”
Trinny Palfreeman, formerly of Buckler’s Mead Academy, achieved A Level grades of A, B, and C in History, Psychology, and Sociology, securing her a place at Southampton University, where she will be pursuing a degree in Paediatric and Mental Health Nursing, shared: “I am extremely happy but could not have done it without the unwavering support of my teachers. I can now go on to university, which will ultimately deliver my dream career.”
Belle Miller, formerly of Wadham School, achieved an A* in Sociology, A in Criminology and a B in English Literature, and is now starting her apprenticeship as a Teaching Assistant at a local primary school: “I have had the best experience I could have asked for at Yeovil College and it has hugely shaped who I am now as a person. I’m hoping to get into teaching and these past few years have really supported this idea for me.”
Rob McCutcheon who overcame significant health challenges to achieve outstanding results (A, B, C in Maths, Chemistry and Biology), with a dream of entering the Army as an Officer, said: “After last year, I thought life was over, and I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity and support to re-sit my final year. I have improved in all grades, but importantly, I feel good both physically and mentally. I am in a great place, having built many positive friendships and relationships.”
Hayden Palmer-Pike studied T-Level Building Services and has now progressed to an apprenticeship at Sentinel: “Studying at Yeovil College and being a part of the T-Level has opened many doors for my career. As I was studying, I applied and was successful in getting an apprenticeship with Sentinel which I can’t wait to start.
“Without Yeovil College none of this was possible. Everyone from the staff to other students are very helpful. The staff here will help you with anything inside or outside of college. To future students don’t be scared to ask any questions as the teachers will know the answers. If you work hard, you’ll get what you need out of it. “
Yeovil College continues to generate an environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential, both academically and personally. The College’s commitment to providing high-quality education and support is evident in the success stories celebrated today.
