Angela Francis, Head of Human Resources – Sovereign Fire & Security

Our apprentices are the future key to a shortage of skilled qualified Fire & Security Engineers. We hope we can retain their talent for years to come as they really strengthen our teams. In terms of culture, employing younger workers means we have a greater and more varied age range which helps diversity and inclusion and brings a youthful dynamic to the workforce.

Oliver Weston-Mann, Restaurant Supervisor

I love working at Yeovil College because I can help guild our learners to their future careers in hospitality. Also, I enjoy working within our award-winning restaurant, ensuring that staff and students are refreshed ready for their day.

Gillian Keough, Clerk to the Corporation

You know you are happy at a place of work when you look forward to going in on a Monday and are excited for the day ahead – all made possible by the staff morale being really good and, I may be being bias, working directly for an amazing, dynamic and committed Governing Board, all of who are volunteers.

Ellie Miller, Marketing & Events Assistant

I am surrounded by supportive colleagues who inspire me to learn and achieve and I appreciate the number of opportunities there is to develop.

Ellie Hyndman, Digital Marketing Apprentice

I love being part of such an incredible, inspiring team who are always pushing me to be the best I can. Yeovil College always has our students at the heart of everything we do, and I feel proud that I am a part of making a difference to students lives.
