Yeovil College Partner wins Prestigious Award!

We are thrilled to share the news that Jackie Surrey, Director of Careers and Enterprise at the 14-19 Partnership and long-term associate of Yeovil College, has been formally recognised at the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards last week.

Jackie was recognised for her outstanding personal contribution to developing the next generation in Somerset. She has been devoted to supporting young people to raise their aspirations for many years through TalentEd Academies, Year 8 My Future events, Higher Education Months and the South Somerset and Bridgwater Careers Fairs.

Jackie has also led the way in forming and leading a core IAG group in South Somerset, made up of local school and college careers advisers and support staff who are all dedicated to ensuring the success of young people in our area. She has forged the way in creating countless toolboxes, support documents and events, with the backing of this group, that are now being rolled out across the county. This only covers the smallest aspect of what Jackie has given to this community in recent years.
