Yeovil College Hosts Supporting Young People Event for Parents & Guardians

Yeovil College is pleased to invite parents and guardians of young people with an EHCP and/or SEND needs to a dedicated information and support evening on Thursday 5th March, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

The event is designed to provide clear guidance and reassurance to families supporting young people as they prepare for, or transition into, further education. Attendees will hear from the College’s SENDCo, Curriculum Area Manager for Foundation Learning, and members of the Student Support team, who will outline the support available throughout a learner’s journey at Yeovil College.

In addition to the presentations, families will have the opportunity to access further information and advice from the English and Maths team, Enrolment team, and Careers and Employability team, allowing for meaningful conversations and questions to be addressed directly.

This bespoke event aims to ensure a positive and well-supported transition from school to college, offering parents and guardians the opportunity to engage with experienced staff and gain a clear understanding of how Yeovil College supports learners with additional needs.

The event will begin promptly at 5.30pm, and attendees are encouraged to arrive in good time. Yeovil College looks forward to welcoming families and working collaboratively to support young people to achieve their full potential.
