Yeovil College Celebrates Extraordinary Achievements on Level 3 Results Day

Yeovil College achieves exceptional results this year, with many students achieving top grades. The students recognise their hard work and dedication with pride as they celebrate their remarkable personal accomplishments 

The college, based on Mudford Road, Yeovil, put together a celebratory breakfast event for the students who collected their results on Thursday 14th August.  

Results Day Highlights: 

  • Top Performers: Many students achieved top grades across a number of subjects, with 100% pass rate in 12 subjects, and over 97% in several more. 
  • Recognisable growth from last year’s results with 37% of students achieving A*-B and 71% achieving A*-C. 
  • Highest-ever A Level exam entry with an unprecedented increase of over 20% in student participation, reflecting Yeovil College’s rising reputation for academic excellence and its commitment to empowering students with high-quality education and support. 
  • Securing University Places: 77% of A Level Students with a University Application secured their first-choice university place, and 27% of Students are progressing to secured places at Russell Group Universities. 

Mark Bolton, Principal and CEO of Yeovil College, said: “I am extremely proud of our Level 3 students. They have demonstrated determination and resilience throughout their time at the college and our results reflect their hard work. We are looking forward to supporting our students as they begin their next chapter.” 

Jack Brimble, T Level Business Management and Administration student at Yeovil College, achieved a Distinction in his course and will be continuing his studies at Yeovil College University Centre. He said: “I am very happy with my result, and I didn’t expect it. I am so grateful for the staff who have given me lots of support. My advice to future students is to put yourself out there and put in 100% of effort!” 

Scarlett Sterling, formally of Preston School and the further education student representative of the Yeovil College Corporation, picked up her A Level results, and was awarded an A in Psychology, B in Biology and C in Chemistry. She said: “I’m so pleased with what I have achieved as it has allowed me to embark on my future routes. Yeovil College has given me so many amazing opportunities that I will always be thankful for, from delivering a speech to hundreds of prospective students, hearing from guest speakers and going on exciting trips – they’re endless!” 

Level 3 Results Day also marks the beginning of Yeovil College’s alumni network, which will give previous students an opportunity to join a community with exclusive events and give guest talks to inspire the next generation.  

The College demonstrates their commitment to the success of the next generation. Portrayed by these student success stories, Yeovil College are dedicated to supporting students through all challenges as they start their next academic chapter or future career.
