Yeovil College Announces Football Squad Trials for 18/19th August 2025
Yeovil College is pleased to announce the upcoming Football Squad Selection Trials, taking place on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August 2025 at Mudford Rec.
The trials are open to all students joining the College in the new academic year and are designed to identify and develop the next generation of football talent.
The trials will be split by gender, with girls’ trials scheduled for Monday 18th August and boys’ trials on Tuesday 19th August. Both sessions will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Participants are asked to park or be dropped off in the tarmacked area at the venue.
All trialists should come prepared with trainers, football boots, a water bottle, lunch, sun cream, and appropriate sportswear. Throughout the day, players will take part in a series of technical drills, small-sided games, and full matches. They will also undergo baseline fitness testing to assess their current conditioning and identify areas for development.
Yeovil College’s coaching staff will be evaluating players on their technical ability, tactical understanding, and overall football intelligence. The trials serve as the first opportunity for selection into the College’s elite performance football programme. However, students not selected for the first team will still have the opportunity to join the second or third squads, with regular reviews offering pathways for progression throughout the academic year.
