Yeovil College Students Create New Logo for The Banks Foundation

Yeovil College Creative Industry students jumped at the opportunity to design a logo for The Banks Foundation (TBF). TBF is committed to helping the next generation of entrepreneurs fast-track their career ambitions.

Zack, who is studying the FdA Design and Media, was crowned winner following the ‘perfect interpterion of the brief’, and his logo will now be displayed across all online and offline marketing materials, including website and social media. Millie, who is a Graphic Design student, was a close runner up, and was praised for her exceptional mood board and analytical thinking.

Mark Bolton, CEO & Principal of Yeovil College, said: “It is critical that we work together with our local business community; our purpose is about building growth, wealth and prosperity for our local community, and working with such an ambitious and inspirational partner, like The Banks Foundation, is both uplifting and positively challenging for our students. Working on live briefs is a key part of this process. Our students have created exceptional work as part of this project.”

Simon Banks, of The Banks Foundation, commented: “Our mission is to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation within young people. Creating live briefs and challenges, which are designed to run seamlessly alongside planned college curriculum delivery to inject real business practice into the theory; this is a brilliant example of where academia meets industry. Congratulations to both Jack and Millie.”

TBF provides an important boost for young enterprise by seeking out people that have something you cannot teach or are blocked from demonstrating their abilities by standard academia.
