ACHIEVING A TOP 50 PLACE FOR DIVERSITY
We are delighted to share that we have secured a position within the top 50 employers in the prestigious National Centre for Diversity (NCFD) ‘Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplaces Index 2023.’
Joining the top 100 in position 43, we join a group of a few elite UK-wide colleges to make the group, this award recognises Yeovil College’s dedication and commitment to embedding Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement (FREDIE), as we strive to place these values at the core of our college community.
Yeovil College first launched in 2021 and is a College offering of Further and Higher Education for its learners across its provision.
The official report, prepared by Fina McPhail stated the following:
Yeovil College has considerable good practice to share within the sector. Yeovil College had to rise to the challenges presented by the Covid Pandemic, changing learning delivery and providing wellbeing support, adapting with agility to respond to both learners and staff.
With provision ranging from apprenticeships, vocational training and Higher Education provision, the scope of the College’s reach is considerable, and its pivotal place in its local community is evident from the discussions held.
It has been inspiring speaking with the team at Yeovil College. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Yeovil College on its successful accreditation against Investors in Diversity.
Scott Autin, Assistant Principal and strategic lead on Diversity, said: “Diversity is something that Yeovil College cares deeply about and achieving this prestigious award is testament to the hard work and special attention provided by teachers and support staff, everyday.”
