Course Overview

Yeovil College is excited to introduce this new two year level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma. E-Sports, competitive on-line gaming, is a fast growing industry both globally and nationally. The course explores the wider industry and is not simply gaming, it encompasses gaming strategy, coaching and nutrition through to ethics, enterprise and livestreaming and will be delivered collaboratively by Business, Sport and Computing.

The skills developed on the course will have a practical application as we form our own E-Sports teams for which we will need players, commentators, coaches and promoters. Upon completion learners could pursue a career in the E-Sports industry, use their transferable skills in other enterprises or chose to enter Higher Education, with Yeovil College soon offering an HND in E-Sports.
