Course Overview
This course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required for
learners to progress to employment including apprenticeships . Whether you are
interested in progressing to study Sport Coaching, Exercise Science or Uniformed
Services this qualification offers the required level of study in order to
progress in your career aspirations within the sport industry.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
During the course you will have the opportunity to undertake work
experience in an outdoor activity centre.

NCFE L3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Outdoor Pathway)
After The Course
Apprenticeships in Outdoor Activity Centres and other sectors, employment,
or progression to study at Level 3.
What Will I Learn
The Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Outdoor) qualification consists of 4 units to be studied throughout the year; Outdoor and Adventurous Activities, Leading an Outdoor Activity Session, Expedition Experience and Participating in Sport.
Learners also have the opportunity to complete a range of additional qualifications including but not limited to:
- Sport Leadership Foundation Expedition Leaders Assistant Level 2
- Kayaking One Star qualification
- Nicas climbing award Level 1
- First Aid
English And Maths
English and maths GCSE resit and Functional Skills can be taken alongside
of this qualification for those that have not achieved grade 4 or above in
English and or maths
Our Lecturers
You will be taught by highly qualified and passionate industry experts who
have experience working in and with the British Army and Avon and Somerset
Police.
Teaching Learning and Assessment
The qualification is assessed through a range of assignments and practical
tasks. A mix of classroom-based activity and outdoor pursuits help learners
understand the requirements to be successful on this level 3 qualification.
Tutorials
Your timetable will include academic tutorials and group tutorials where
you will explore wider topics such as healthy living, how to stay safe online
and with the support of your tutor understand your progress and success.
Course Expenses
£187.00 for additional qualifications and enrichment opportunities.

How Will I Be Assessed
All units are internally assessed.
Entry Requirements
4 GCSE's at grade 4 and above, including English Language and Maths. If
you fail to meet these entry requirements we recommend Sport Foundation Year
Outdoor Pathway (Level 2).
Required Experience
No experience required but applicants should have an interest in outdoor
and physical activity.
