What Will I Learn
This course is highly practical, with most of your training taking place in our specialist plumbing workshops. You’ll learn how to safely use a variety of hand tools and equipment while developing essential skills such as measuring, marking, cutting, bending, and joining different types of pipework. Training begins with basic techniques like compression joints and progresses to more advanced tasks such as soldering, press fitting, and assembling small-scale plumbing systems.
In addition to hands-on skills, you’ll gain a solid understanding of health and safety practices within the construction industry. You’ll also explore the wider construction environment, including the roles of other trades you may work alongside, and consider how the plumbing industry is evolving to meet sustainability goals.

The cost for this course is £150.

Additional costs may be covered by our financial assistance bursary which you can apply for once you have had your place confirmed and at that point, you will be provided with the bursary application form.
How Will I Be Assessed
Entry Requirements
It is recommended that you have a good level of written English to enable you to complete the workbook alongside your practical work, so we suggest that applicants to either a GCSE in English at grade C / 4, or an equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2).
