Course Overview
The T level in Electrical Installation is a two year programme designed with industry to provide the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to begin a career within the electrical installation trade.
The course includes core knowledge of all building services, as well as more technical content related to electrical installation.
Alongside the college based training learners will complete 315hrs of industry placement, which will provide an opportunity to practice and master professional industry behaviours.
The T levels are equivalent to A-levels, and therefore attract UCAS points, which makes them a great option for those looking at further study at University level courses such as the HNC Construction Management.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
All T Levels include an industry placement, this runs for a minimum of 315 hours (45 days) overall and will give students practical insights into the sector and an opportunity to embed the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.
At Yeovil College we have a team that will support you with your industry placements.
Some learners will complete more than 315hrs, and often the placements lead to further employment or apprentice opportunities.
After The Course
On completion, this T level will enable you to apply to Universities to undertake further study in electrical science, or you may wish to continue your studies at Yeovil College by joining the Level 4 Site Management HNC. Learners can also progress into an electrical installation apprenticeship. Depending on your overall grade your overall length of apprenticeship may be reduced to reflect prior learning.
