Course Overview
Year 2 plumbing is a fulltime programme designed to build on the skills learned in year 1.
Studying this qualification will build on knowledge of the plumbing industry and you will install airing cupboards, bathrooms and heating systems using a variety of materials and tools. Along side the practical you will complete nine multiple choice exams.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
With support all learners will complete a minimum of 35 hours of work experience related to the qualification. Past students have worked with plumbers as part of their work experience and gone onto work part time or become an apprentice with in the company.

After The Course
This qualification will enable learners to have the opportunity to progress into industry as a plumbing improver or progression into a plumbing apprenticeship
What Will I Learn
You will learn all aspects of Health & Safety linked to the trade, complete installtion using copper, LCS and plastic. Alongside this you will establish exactly how all plumbing is installed and workings in a domestic property.
English And Maths
Learners who do not already hold a Maths and / or English qualification at grade 4 or above will study these subjects as part of their college qualification
Our Lecturers
Wayne is an experience lecturer with a vast range of industry experience. Wayne is an excellent personal tutor, and works to get the best out of all his learners. When Wayne isn't teaching, he enjoys watching live music.

Through activities in our industry specific practical work shops and dedicated theory sessions.

Course Expenses
Learners will need to purchase their own PPE (Work trousers, boots, gloves high vis and safety spectacles). We also recommend learners purchase relevant tools as an investment, and a course textbook to support their studies. Learners who join us on new students day will be given a kit list to help them prepare for their course.
Throughout the course there will be trips and visits, for which a contribution may be required.

Practical assessments and multiple choice online exams
Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths and previous plumbing experience (eg completion of level 1 or year 1)
