Do you already have practical accounting experience but no formal qualifications?
Then this course might be suitable for you.
The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is a professional course for students who wish to obtain an accounting qualification. It includes four modules covering areas including Business Awareness, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Tax Processes for Businesses. It is sponsored by three main accountancy bodies and is a nationally recognised qualification.

After The Course
This course can prepare you for employment as an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk, Bookkeeper, Credit Controller, Finance Assistant, Payroll Administrator, Practice Bookkeeper, Tax Assistant. What Will I Learn
You will learn through lectures, but you will be actively encouraged to join in and to contribute using your own accounting knowledge and work experience. There are four units to complete which are Business Awareness, Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements, Management Accounting Techniques and Tax Processes for Businesses.

You will be taught by an experienced teaching team whose expertise and knowledge are closely matched to the content of the modules on the course. The team includes lecturers and professional practitioners with industry experience.
Teaching Learning and Assessment
Teaching will be through a mix of lecturing, facilitating, coaching, mentoring and online activities. Learners should expect to be stretched and challenged in every session. Developing an understanding of underpinning theory and application of it from a practical perspective while bearing in mind various accounting standards, concepts, analytical skills and self directed study.

Course fee £2,573. AAT Registration fee £228 paid direct to AAT by the learner.

Additional costs may be covered by our financial assistance bursary which you can apply for once you have had your place confirmed and at that point, you will be provided with the bursary application form.
How Will I Be Assessed
There will be four computer-based examinations which will be sat at Yeovil College. These exams will be sat throughout the duration of the course. A mark of 70% is required to achieve a Pass in each examination.
Entry Requirements
You can progress onto this course if you have already completed the Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2). You can also apply if you have suitable accounting experience or a suitable, recognised qualification in accounting.
Required Experience
Although current or previous experience in a finance role is not required for this course, it can assist your studies on this course.
