Our Lecturers
Teaching Learning and Assessment
Teaching is delivered through a dynamic blend of lectures, facilitated discussions, coaching, mentoring, and interactive online activities. Each session is designed to stretch and challenge you, encouraging both critical thinking and practical application.
You’ll develop a strong grasp of the theoretical foundations of accounting, while learning how to apply them in real-world contexts. The course emphasises the importance of accounting standards, key concepts, and analytical skills, alongside fostering independent study and self-directed learning.

Course fee £2,573. AAT Registration fee £228 paid direct to AAT by the learner.

Additional costs may be covered by our financial assistance bursary which you can apply for once you have had your place confirmed and at that point, you will be provided with the bursary application form.
How Will I Be Assessed
Assessment is through four computer-based examinations, all of which will be taken at Yeovil College. These exams are scheduled at intervals throughout the duration of the course to support steady progress and consolidation of learning.
To pass each exam, learners must achieve a minimum score of 70%.
Entry Requirements
To join this course, you must have already completed the Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting. We also welcome applications from those with relevant accounting experience or a recognised qualification at an equivalent level.
A good standard of written English is essential for success on this course. Applicants should hold a GCSE in English at grade C / 4 or above, or an equivalent qualification such as Functional Skills Level 2.
