Bricklayer - Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship (Starting between August 2025 and July 2026)

Course Overview
To undertake this apprenticeship you will need to be employed and working with a qualified Bricklayer. You will complete a 2 year apprenticeship, attending college one day per week during term time. Over the two years you will develop a wide range of skills that include the laying of bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar, constructing and repairing walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures such as chimney stacks. You will interpret drawings and learn to set out brickwork correctly. The range of sites and projects that you might work on as a Bricklayer will include large commercial developments, new building sites, internal alterations in houses, extensions and restorations. As a Bricklayer you may work one-on-one or on larger jobs , working as part of a team of Bricklayers. Throughout the qualification you will undertake a series of exams and written assessments. On successful completion of the qualification you will move on to complete an end point assessment.

After The Course
On successful completion of the apprenticeship you can work as a qualified Bricklayer in the construction industry. You may also seek other trade related qualifications.
English And Maths
If you do not already hold an English or Maths qualification equivalent to level 1 you, will undertake this as part of your apprenticeship and also show evidence of working towards a level 2 qualification in English or Maths.

Entry Requirements
To have an apprenticeship working with a qualified Bricklayer that will meet the requirements of the qualification. You must also have GCSE grade E/2 or above in English & Maths or other relevant equivalent qualification.
Required Experience
No experience is necessary as working with your employer and attending college will ensure you gain the necessary experience.
