Course Overview
To undertake this apprenticeship you will need to be employed and working alongside a qualified Carpenter. You will complete a 2 year apprenticeship, attending college one day per week during term time. This course will ensure you’ll learn skills that can set you on your path to a career in the construction industry as a Carpenter. You’ll be working with the latest technologies carrying out site related activities that include roofing, flooring and stud walls. Throughout the qualification you will undertake a series of exams and practical assessments. On successful completion of the qualification you will move on to complete an end point assessment.
Qualification Gained
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations – Site Carpentry
After The Course
On successful completion of this qualification you can progress on to the Site Carpentry - Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.
English And Maths
If you do not already hold an English or Maths qualification equivalent to level 1 you, will undertake this as part of your apprenticeship and also show evidence of working towards a level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

Course Expenses
£100 which includes your PPE and a resources kit.
Entry Requirements
To have an apprenticeship with a Carpenter that will meet the requirements of the qualification. You must also have a GCSE grade E/ 2 or above in English & Maths or other relevant equivalent qualification.
Required Experience
No experience is necessary as working with your employer and attending college will ensure you gain the necessary experience.
