Course Overview
L2 Bench Joinery is a full time programme that is usually studied over one year. This course will ensure you’ll learn skills that can set you on your path to a career in the construction industry. You’ll be working with the latest technologies producing architectural products, such as doors, windows, units and staircases. The course includes both practical and theory.
L2 Site Carpentry is a full time programme that is usually studied over one year. This course will ensure you’ll learn skills that can set you on your path to a career in the construction industry. You’ll be working with the latest technologies carrying out site related activities that include roofing, flooring and stud walls. The course includes both practical and theory.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
With support all learners will complete a minimum of 35 hours of work experience related to the qualification. Past students have worked with Site carpenters and Joiners as part of their work experience and gone onto work part time or become an apprentice with in the company.
Qualification Gained
L2 Joinery Qualification or L2 Carpentry Qualification
After The Course
These qualifications will enable learners to have the opportunity to progress on to further fulltime wood Occupation qualifications or progression into an apprenticeship.
What Will I Learn
Bench Joinery - You will learn all aspects of Health & Safety linked to the trade, bench joinery theory using industry approved practices and all associated machinery used in the industry.
Site Carpentry - You will learn all aspects of Health & Safety linked to the trade, site carpentry theory using industry approved practices and all associated hand and power tool used in the industry.
English And Maths
Learners who do not already hold a Maths and / or English qualification at grade 4 or above will study these subjects as part of their college qualification
