Course Overview
On this study programme you will gain a range of core skills needed for a
successful career in Creative Digital Media Production. You will learn to make a
variety of media productions including film trailers, radio shows and podcasts,
using state-of the- art digital equipment and software. In addition to classroom
lectures, visiting speakers and discussions, you will be able to develop
practical work and visit media-related industries.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
You will have the opportunity to take part in work experience or work related activity through working on real media briefs for local employers, charities and community groups.

BTEC Level 2 First Award in Creative Digital Media Production
After The Course
After successful completion of this study programme you can progress onto the Level 3 Creative Digital Media Production (Film & TV, Games Design, Publishing, Sound Production, Visual Effects)
What Will I Learn
You will gain a broad understanding to enable you to successfully progress onto the Level 3 programme. A typical week will include a mixture of fun practical and theory lessons focusing on a range of subject content related tocreative media with support from your lecturer and working alongside others on your course. This will include workshops covering the use of various materials, processes and techniques used by media specialists in planning, pre, post production, moving image and audio production, games design and publishing. You will then apply this learning to set assignments and take your ideas and creativity in your own direction.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Through classroom based activities and practical Media workshops and experiences supplemented by trips and guest speakers from industry leaders

4 GCSE's at grade 3 and above, including either English and Maths or equivalent
