Course Overview
Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. It is a
multi-dimensional subject and includes many sub-fields such as human
development, health, clinical, social behaviour and cognitive processes. The
study of psychology develops an array of transferrable skills which can lead to
a choice of careers.

After The Course
Psychology degree, teaching degree, nursing degree, sport science degree, social work degree, marketing/business degree, etc.
What Will I Learn
Module 1: Key perspectives in Psychology including treatments and classic evidence.
Module 2: Research methods in Psychology including personal investigations and descriptive/inferential statistics. Module 3: Key topics/behaviours in Psychology. Three behaviours out of a choice of six. Among them Stress, Schizophrenia, Addiction and Criminal behaviours.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Variety of delivery methods including classroom activities, professional discussions, digitally-enabled activity, presentations and directed study.
Tutorials
As a student, you will have weekly tutorials that are used for one to one support, progress updates, employability skills and preparation for University.
How Will I Be Assessed
Three exam papers at the end of the two years of study. Each paper has a 2 hour 15 minutes duration. No coursework.
Entry Requirements
- GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade 5 or above are needed to study this course.
Required Experience
No specific experience is required for this course but a keen interest in Psychology is essential.
