Course Overview
The skills developed will help you to be able to offer an outstanding
restaurant service. You will learn how to professionally work in a restaurant
environment serve freshly prepared food and work as a barista. You will also
gain valuable skills on customer care, working as part of a team and
employability.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
60 Hours Work experience is required alongside this qualification. This will be a combination of External placement that needs to be sourced and confirmed by October half term and Internal work experience with time spent in the Colleges Food Court and DaVinci Restaurant front of house.
Qualification Gained
Diploma in Food and Beverage Service Level 2.

What Will I Learn
You will gain the skills you need to deliver a first class dining experience whilst exploring topics that include barista training, food service, bar service and menu design, food safety, managing payments and team working
English And Maths
Maths and English grades 4 and above is required for this qualification. A grade 3 in either English OR Maths will be considered.

You will be taught by our highly trained industry professionals.
Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught in a range of different settings and complete both practical and theory based activities. You will be assessed on your abilities at regular intervals throughout your course. You will complete both written and online based assessments as well as being observed developing your practical skills.
Course Expenses
You will be required to purchase kit and uniform and have the opportunity to pay for educational visits.
How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed in the practical environment and will also be required to complete assignments and tests.
Entry Requirements
English and Maths grade 4 and above is required for this qualification. A grade 3 in either English OR Maths will be considered.
You will be required to take part in a practical skills scan that will help us determine your starting points. This may alter the level we place you on.
Required Experience
No previous experience necessary however a passion for the hospitality Industry is essential.
