Kick Start to Automotive Maintenance and Repair (Starting January 2025)

Generally aimed at learners 16-19 years old who have a keen interest to learn about maintenance and repair associated with light vehicles. You will learn, Health and Safety in the workplace, common tools and equipment for vehicle maintenance and repair and other areas such engine operation and construction, steering systems, braking operation and electrical systems. This is an excellent course for those looking to make their first steps into the Automotive industry.

After the course you may wish to look at progressing onto one of our other level 1 or 2 full time courses or at one of our various apprenticeships.

If you are joining this course below the age of 18, you will need to work towards your maths and English if you have not achieved a grade 4 or above.

The course is fully funded for most aged 16-18, so there is no fee.

You are assessed through a range of practical assessments and one on line exam. The sessions are mainly run as practical sessions in our workshops.

You will be asked to attend an interview to check your suitability for the course.
