Course Overview

This Apprenticeship is designed to support learners to develop a full range of underpinning knowledge that can be used in a variety of businesses and industries that demonstrate confidence and transferability in a Digital Technology Environment. You will also develop your awareness of Health and Safety, employment awareness, communications and working relationships.

Network engineers need to maintain high levels of operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users, such as staff, clients, customers and suppliers. They will understand network configuration, cloud, network administration and monitoring tools, and be able to give technical advice and guidance, provide support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non-routine problems.

Qualification Gained

Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship. To achieve the standard you will be required to achieve one knowledge module or vendor/ professional qualification from each of the three sections in the list below; Diploma in Network Principles Diploma in Net

After The Course

Completing this apprenticeship programme with its transferable skills will enable progression into roles such as, Network technician, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, Network. The apprenticeship is also recognised for entry onto the register of IT tech

What Will I Learn

As you move through the apprenticeship you will develop skills and knowledge in fields such as a Network technician, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer and Network Administrator.Elements you will study will cover skills such as networking principles and security as well as network systems and architecturewhich will help you deal with issues that you may face in todays industry.

Our Lecturers

Our assesor/trainers have a passion for teaching & learning, and for IT. They have been involved in someway within the industryand are passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge with their apprentices.

Teaching Learning and Assessment

All training is delivered solely in the workplace with the exception of the endpoint assessment, which will be at a given location. You will be working in a relevant workplace and have the support of your line manager/employer for the duration of your App

Course Expenses

In most cases your apprenticeship is funded under the Governments apprenticeship funding programme. If this isn't the case then your employer will fund it.

How Will I Be Assessed

You will be assessed against set Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours that have been developed by the industry. Your employer plays a large part in helping and supporting you becoming a competent Network Engineer. At the end of each of your Modules you will sit industry and knowledge based exams, these will enable to progress through something called a Gateway. Your final assessment known as End Point Assessment will take place at the end of your apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include A levels. Other acceptable entry requirements could be a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship, relevant qualifications and experience; as well as a passion for IT and a desire to succed in your field,
