Course Overview
To undertake this apprenticeship you will need to be employed and working with a qualified Domestic Electrician. You will complete a 3 year apprenticeship, attending college one day per week during term time. Over the 3 years you will study the full range of domestic, electrical applications, learning the associated skills, knowledge and behaviours. These include the install, maintenance and repair of electrical systems. Electricians might work in both indoor and outdoor settings. Electrical equipment and systems may include switchboards, cables, Overcurrent protect, Surge Protection and Arc fault detection devices, fault Protection switches, heating, lighting, air conditioning and metering equipment as well as crime and fire alarm systems and renewable energy technologies. Throughout the qualification you will undertake a series of exams and written assignments. On successful completion of the qualification you will move on to complete an end point assessment which includes the AM2.

After The Course
On successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship you can work as a fully qualified Domestic Electrician. There are many short courses that can also compliment your skills. You will be able to complete the level 3 in inspection and testing domestic dwellings, Electric vehicle Charging and Solar P.V courses.
What Will I Learn
You will Learn all aspects of wiring systems for domestic dwellings maintenance and installation.
English And Maths
If you do not already hold a Grade C or 4 at GCSE you will be expected to achieve a level 2 Maths and English Qualification as part of your apprenticeship.

You will be taught and assessed by a range of our fully qualified and industry experienced staff.
How Will I Be Assessed
Assessment will take place throughout the course to complete each unit both practical and Theory and you will finish by sitting an end point assessment to complete the qualification.
Entry Requirements
To have an apprenticeship with an Electrician that will meet the requirements of the qualification. You must also have a D / 3 grade at GCSE or Equivalent qualification.

No experience is necessary as working with your employer and attending college will ensure you gain the necessary experience
