Course Overview

To undertake this apprenticeship you will need to be employed and working with qualified operatives in furniture making. You will complete a 2 year apprenticeship, attending college one day per week during term time. Over the two years you will develop a wide range of skills that include the manufacturing of Kitchens, bedroom, living rooms and other furniture used within the home, produce office products, furniture for commercial builds such as schools hospitals and hotels. The furniture you will manufacture can be to a very high specification, often for large contracts or bespoke items as requested by customers. Throughout the qualification you will undertake a series of exams and written assessments. On successful completion of the qualification you will move on to complete an end point assessment.

English And Maths

If you do not already hold an English or Maths qualification equivalent to level 1 you, will undertake this as part of your apprenticeship and also show evidence of working towards a level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

Entry Requirements

To have a suitable apprenticeship in Furniture Making that will meet the requirements of the qualification. You must also have a D / 3 grade at GCSE or Equivalent qualification.

Required Experience

No experience is necessary as working with your employer and attending college will ensure you gain the necessary experience.
