Course Overview

A Team leader or supervisor is a first line management role, with operational and project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team. You must currently be in a team leading or supervisory role to undertake this apprenticeship. Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally. On completion of the programme, apprentices may choose to register as Associate Members with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership and Management, to support their professional career development and progression.

How Will I Be Assessed

You will have regular meetings with your on programme assessor either in the workplace or online. Your knowledge, skills and behaviours will be measured against industry standards and developed through work based learning, online teaching and assessment. Your competency as a team leader/supervisor will be measured through end point assessments which take place through the awarding body.

Entry Requirements

This apprenticeship is suitable for those who are already in the workplace undertaking team leading, supervisory or project management responsibilities. Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment. This will be organised as part of your apprenticeship programme.
