Advanced and Creative Hair Professionals are creative, passionate, and driven professionals who work without supervision, managing themselves and others when required. Learners will provide a quality service, whilst working to the highest standards and continuously developing their personal and professional skills. Learners take ownership of their work and client lists, accept responsibility, are proactive, flexible and adaptable, plan their work and time; they aim for excellence by taking exceptional pride in their work and industry. Learners will deliver hair fashion-forward trends, which are innovative styles inspired by current images and their own creativity, individual flair, imagination and interpretation.
VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Advanced and creative hairdressing
After The Course
Learners who achieve this qualification are able to work as Creative Hair Stylists, Advanced Senior Stylists and/or Specialist Technicians. Learners could work in a variety of different sectors, which may include: Commercial salons Senior stylist/manager Independent/self-employed/mobile/home-based salon settings Product manufacturing Training/teaching within private centres/colleges Cruise liners On completion of this qualification, learners are eligible to become a State Registered Hairdresser (SRH) with The Hairdressing Council.
What Will I Learn
Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include: Provide client consultation services Advanced and creative cutting services Creative fashion styling and finishing services Provide smoothing and strengthening services Advanced and creative colour services Use fashion forward trends in hair, creative and precision techniques to create a collection of hairstyle looks
You will be taught by Highly qualified industry professionals.
Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught in a realistic salon working environment and be assessed on all skills that are developed through observation, online exams and assignments - Learners must have employment working in salons to undertake the apprenticeship.
You will be required to purchase a kit and uniform.
How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed in the practical environment and also be required to complete assignments and exams to produce a portfolio of evidence. Once this has been achieved you will then be required to take the End Point Assessment.
The qualification provides the learner with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work creatively as an employed and/or self-employed hairdresser. This qualification is aimed at those learners who hold a recognised Level 2 or equivalent hairdressing qualification. Needs employment within a salon.
