Course Overview
You will be taught in a range of different ways including practical
workshops, commercial Da Vinci training serving members of the public in lunch
services and some evening productions, alongside classroom based theory to
develop your knowledge and complete exams. You will also have access to an
online learning resources and activities which you will complete
independently.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
You will be required to complete 315 hours of Industry Placement as part of the programme.
Qualification Gained
Diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery.
After The Course
You can go into the hospitality industry as a chef or become an apprentice.
What Will I Learn
You will develop the skills required of a Professional chef and supervisor covering a wide range of commodities and methods of cookery.
English And Maths
You may be required to attend English and Maths sessions as part of your study programme.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught in a range of different settings and complete both practical and theory based activities. You will be assessed on your abilities at regular intervals throughout your course. You will complete both written and online based assessments as well as being observed developing your practical skills.

You will be required to purchase kit and uniform and have the opportunity to pay for educational visits.

You will be assessed in the practical environment and will also be required to complete assignments and tests.
