Course Overview

T levels are new courses which will follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to three A Levels. These two-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares the learners for work. It has been designed to deliver a high level of knowledge about Business Management and Administration sector as well as the occupational skills requires to enter the world of business.


The qualification will help students gain an understanding of the Business Management and Administration sector and you will cover topics such as, Business Context, Quality Compliance, Finance, Policies and Procedures, Business behaviours and Project and change management.

This qualification will suit those looking to enter the Business Management and Administration sector post mainstream education. The structure is designed to give learners the breadth of knowledge and understanding across the Business Management and Administration sector and will equip learners with the necessary occupational and core skills to enter the sector.

Work Experience & Industry Placements

Attached to the T Level Business Management and Administration will be a 315hour (min) industry placement - this will occur in Year 2 of the programme. Learners can identify which area of business they wish to complete their Industry Placement in during Year 1. Support will be available for students to help gain the Industry Placement from tutors and the careers team.

After The Course

This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to work in the Business Management and Administration sector and prepares students to enter the sector through employment or as an Apprentice and progression on to Higher Education.

English And Maths

Potential learners will need a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade 4 -9. It is essential to have both English Language Grade 4 (Grade 5 is desirable) and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above. There will be a Foundation T Level for those that may not achieve the entry criteria.
