Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (Starting between August 2022 and July 2023)
Course Overview
The Level 6 Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeships through Yeovil College are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (C.M.I.) and will enable learners to take their management and leadership skills to a higher level.
A Chartered Manager is someone who can take responsibility for people,
projects, operations and/or services to deliver long term organisational
success, with the professional recognition for their ability to deliver impact,
behave ethically and demonstrate their commitment to continual learnings and
development. The level 6 Apprenticeships are ideal for the development of
Operational Managers, Divisional Managers, Departmental Managers, Regional
Managers and Specialist Managers. The qualifications are aimed at practising
managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior management or
business owner.
The apprenticeship gives you a fully comprehensive bank of the skills and
knowledge required to be a higher-level manager within your organisation, as
well as the ability to apply your learning in the context of another
organisation or industry sector. The apprenticeship is based over a four-year
period, you will receive accredited recognition at a Higher National Diploma
(HND) and BA top up (BA Honours) University of Gloucester to achieve a Degree in
Business Management. The apprenticeship will allow you to build a portfolio of
skills and knowledge.

How Will I Be Assessed
Learning will be achieved through a combination of class-based activity, group-based activity and independent study. These sessions are designed to actively support the development of independent learning strategies. They will combine tutor input with a wide range of participative activities including case studies, individual and group problem solving activities, student led activities which will include discussions of existing research and article reviews. You will be encouraged to study directed readings and to critique research articles.
You will be required to work independently and to take responsibility for
your learning. The role of tutors is to encourage your independence whilst still
offering the appropriate levels of support.
During the programme of study,

When not attending lectures, seminars or other timetabled sessions you

An occupational understanding of being an existing manager; delivering a
long-term purpose, leading people and developing collaborative relationships and
managing and performance managing of staff, sales and marketing, business
finance, project management and operational strategy.
