My son studied at Yeovil College for three years, progressing through from the Foundation Learning programme to a Supported Internship. After we initially applied, he had a supported interview where everything was appropriate for his level of communication and the team worked directly with him to work out which route would be best for him. During his first two years, the team helped him to achieve his Entry Level 3 in English and his Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths. At the end of his second year, he was successful in securing a supported internship in Yeovil District Hospital for his third year and whilst completing his third year he also passed his GCSE in Maths. At the end of his study programme, the team supported him to work on his CV and apply for an apprenticeship, which he was successful in achieving. The support that Yeovil College provided to my young man, seeing the development of his confidence and to see him out in the workplace is nothing short of wonderful.
